Asus ZenFone Zoom - A new era of mobile photography

The Chinese technology giant Asus has finally launched its latest Zenfone smartphone called the Zenfone Zoom in India. The smartphone features a 13-megapixel camera with 3x optical zoom, Laser Autofocus and OIS. The Asus Zenfone Zoom (ZX551ML) is available at a price of Rs.37999, it will be available in Asus Exclusive stores from February 2016, making it the most expensive Zenfone out there.

ASUS ZenFome Zoom is not only about the optical zoom camera. Packed inside the smartphone are high-end hardware specs.It is powered by 64-bit quad-core Intel Atom 2.5Ghz processor with 4GB dual-channel DDR3 RAM and 128GB storage. Supports LTE Category 4+ for download speed up to 250Mbit/s.

Design:

The unibody metal frame is polished with a smooth finish. The back cover is real leather crafted using traditional Italian tailoring skills. It is made out of an aluminum alloy block which has undergone over 15 processes. The Phone has slightly rounded design and it measures at just 5mm thick on the sides.The camera module is available in Pure Black or Ceramic White colours. It is protected by a dedicated frame made from quality grade alloys. Also, every ZenFone Zoom comes with a leather strap for your confident shooting.

Camera:

The big feature is obviously the Zoom’s camera capabilities. The handset comes with a 13 megapixel rear sensor complete with 4-11mm f/2.7-4.8 optical zoom lens, 3x zoom, image stabilization, and laser autofocus technology. There’s also a front facing camera with a 5 megapixel resolution and f/2.0 aperture.

Display:

The Asus Zenfone Zoom sports a 5.5inch Full HD IPS display of 403ppi and with a Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection atop it. The display has good viewing angles and it appears vibrant with good levels of brightness.

Powering the Asus Zenfone Zoom is a 3000mAh Li-polymer battery. Now this is a non-removable battery. It comes with an 18W power adapter which according to Asus can charge the Zenfone Zoom from 0 to 60 percent in 39mins. We will need to use the phone as our daily driver to be able to talk about the battery life.
